Power comes from a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 635PS. This engine, designated M840TE, is optimised in the GTS to deliver 635PS – a 15PS increase over the engine’s previous application in the McLaren GT. Peak torque of 630Nm is produced between 5,500rpm and 6,500rpm, with more than 95% available from 3,000rpm to 7,250rpm – perfect characteristics for sustained, relentless performance and on-demand power during long-distance journeys.
